فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍۢ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
উচ্চারণ: famā is'taṭāʿū min qiyāmin wamā kānū muntaṣirīna

অতঃপর তারা উঠে দাঁড়াতেও সক্ষম হলো না এবং নিজেদের রক্ষা করার মতো কোনো শক্তিও তাদের ছিল না (ফামাসতাত্বা-‘ঊ মিন ক্বিয়া-মিওঁ ওয়া মা- কা-নূ মুনতাসিরীন - fa-mastatā‘ū min qiyāmiw wa-mā kānū muntaṣirīn)।

তারা (পায়ের ভরে) উঠে দাঁড়াতেও পারল না আর আত্মরক্ষা করতেও পারল না।
Scientific Translation (Quranic Scientific Meaning)
Whereupon they could neither rise to their feet nor summon any capacity to defend themselves (fa-mastatā‘ū min qiyāmiw wa-mā kānū muntaṣirīn).
Conventional English Translation
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.

فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ: they could not muster the physiological strength to rise up or flee.
